  1. Hi All,

What im trying to do is copy Various episodes of MPG, AVI, WMA etc.. files onto a DVD...

They are SNL episodes, and each episode is in 3 parts... (each being aproxx 30meg)

I am just using the standard SonicDVD that came with my Sony DRU-512 burner..
And I am able to sort out the menus & copy the 3 part episodes as ONE Icon.. (so it plays all 3 parts together)

BUT what my problem is, is I can't fit many episodes on a DVD! maybe 3 MAX!

So when put on the DVD, a 100meg file seems to jump to 500meg (or so) on the DVD itself!

So is there a way I can compress the movies? or get a program that will let me author & compress in one step??

Ive got a fair few episodes and didn't really want to be going over 5 or 6 dvds..

Also, it just seems a bit weird because I can actually fit more episodes on a VCD than a DVD...

    any Ideas or help??

    Thanks!

It is likely that if you are using Sonic MyDVD 4 it is converting all audio to uncompressed LPCM, using much more space than the original file. You'll need to encode and author in a program than can use compressed audio (AC3, MP2).
