I downloaded and installed the latest WinTV PVR drivers (1.5) and the latest version of the WinTV 2000 application.
Is anyone else having problems with MPEG2 capturing for DVD now?.
Previously the captured files were fine. All I needed to do was demultiplex the files to seperate audio and video files for my DVD Authoring software to input. Now however, I get a "GOP Out of Sequence" error message. This happens with all bitrates about 2MB/s.
I suspect whoever wrote the drivers changed the parameters, perhaps to make the encoding more efficient, but it has had the effect of killing DVD compatibility.
I can get round it by reencoding the files through TMPGEnc but this defeates the purpose of a card that can encode direct to MPEG2 in my opinion as TMPGEnc takes hours.
I thought I'd find out if anyone else had problems before I fire off a nasty email to Hauppauge.
Thanks guys
Kevin

Just a thought, but did you try re-installing the MPEG codec, maybe the driver installation screwed it up.
