  1. I'm trying to capture and record to SVCD using Nero.

I've used the MPEGs straight off the cpature card, and I've tried all sorts (mux/demux with TMPEGEnc, bbMPEG) and whatever I do I get the same result on my standalone DVD. The video plays jerkilly without sound for 3-4 seconds, then stops. If I press pause, then play, it continues for a further 3-4 seconds.

A few experiments have yeilded some interesting results. An MPG from a SVCD downloaded as a CIF and burnt to a CDR plays 100% on my DVD, but if I take the mpg file off the disk and burn a brand new SVCD with nero it shows exactly the same result as above. A direct CD to CD copy works 100%.

My mate is doing the same thing, but with completely different hardware (Intel / RAID / Pinnacle) and gets the same result.

I'm starting to wonder if the problem is with nero (5.5.4.1)

    I'm using :

    ATI Radeon AIW 32DDR
    1.4GHz Athlon
    512 MB DDR
    40GB ATA100 IBM disk

    Help !!!

  2. Tried vcdimager and managed to get NRG file, burnt with nero - still getting the same problem. Tried fireburner, but wont support my philips CDD2600 (scsi) ..... can anyone suggest software for burning bin/cue files ..

I still suspect the root cause of my problems is Nero.
