    I have captured the VHS onto PC and converted to mpeg2. I then played the mpeg 2 back and saw it has all the borders and blur on the edges. However, I was wondering, should this be clipped? I know it probably won't show up on the TV but what about when played in PC DVD Player Software?

    At what stage should it be clipped? In TMPGEnc before encoding?

    In TMPGEnc while it is encoding usually is best. To clip at any other time and then saving may cost you a copy generation.
