Hello, Yes! I'm a newbee doobie , and for this! I am completely new, hence the newbee doobie doo, so please bear with me.

Please Help!!! I only own a PC DVD player, but would like to make personal copies of just some (specific) song tracks from some of my personaly owned music DVD's. I was hoping someone would be kind enough to inform me of the methods and/or software needed just to make 3 - 4 minute MPG's or AVI edited segments (from a 100 min DVD) to save to my hard drive. I've searched high n' low, and all around, but can't seem to get anything to work in attaining this format. Thanks Millions!!!!

There's a fair chance that each song is a chapter in itself. Smartripper can rip specific chapters so that you get a VOB file with just that chapter in it. Then you can convert this to AVI using VirtualDub MPEG2 or you could convert to MPEG via DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc.
    If in doubt, Google it.
