hi everyone
I always captured from my Panasonic VCR to my all-in-wonder Radeon 7500 (with latest MMC) via composite cables.
fact is: if the tape is a home-movie tape or it has any smudge or artifact...the screen of the tv-capture flashs...I mean, it goes blank...and a few seconds later, the image come back!
It has been happening a lot and reeally bothers me! I've tried with other vcr and the problem is still the same! Since I've been using a lot of drivers (from old to new ones...) I dont believe its an ati-driver update problem....
any solution or guess? Or is ATI really THAT cheap that it can't capture a tape fine? Of course I wouldnt care to get smudge or something on my captured video, but getting flashs is really annoying!!
It seems like ATI is "smudge-sensitive" and the "signal" gets out of control...really dunno what happens!!
thanx for any guess.

My problem wasn't quite as bad as what you are describing. Mine would just get dark then light and get a white line across the top. See my page here for more details: http://www.coaldelivery.com/ati
I just installed a cheap Leadtek TV tuner card and my problems went away. If your having the same problem that I was I would suggest you find the Macrovision hack. I had no success with it but have read where other people have.
