    I wouldn't say 'poxy' is a commonly used term, at least not where I live (not like the other two)

    poxy = worthless/small, insignificant i.e. those poxy French
    bollocks = testicles/rubbish/wrong i.e. a kick in the bollocks / that's utter bollocks
    wanker = insignificant person/masturbater i.e. he's a wanker

  17. What about?

    "Will you come by in the morning and nock me up"

    or when the kids in school ask

    "Can I borrow a rubber"

    Not for nuthin' but, if you gonna borrow it... just keep it. I don't think I would want it back.
    Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

  19. My favorite is the British slang for cigarette=fag.
    Saying:"I think I'll go out and smoke a fag" might get you in trouble here in the states.

    Try more southern twang. These are things I say, never type or write them though:

    - "jeet yet?" = did you eat yet?

    - "ya'll" = all of you

    - "getaholtuv" = (not sure there is an exact translation). Proper usage: "The number is 1-800-123-4567. See if you can getaholtuv them for me."

    I've seen these in other books, comics and from others living in and around my state. They are all too real.

    My understanding of British English:

    bollocks = bullshit
    wanker = jerkoff (as in "the person is a jerkoff")
    poxy = as insignificant as a pox (think chicken pox)

    We say all of those here in SC as well. But the two that mess that mess most Northern people up that come down here are usetacould (use ta could) and Coke.

    Instead of saying "I use to be able to" we say "I usetacould"
    and instead of saying "I want a soda" or "I want some pop" we say "I want a coke" or "I want some coke". Basically we replaced the word cola with Coke. No one says soda or pop around here.

    Those confuse most people.

  23. In Australia everyone just asks for Coke or Pepsi, everyone knows that you mean cola. You'd be looked at weird if you asked for Soda or Pop or even cola.

  27. I've never been to London either, Will, but I do live with a couple of guys who were born and bred there, and they don't speak like that unless they're down the nuclear sub (pub).

    Talking of pubs, there's a pint with my name on it.....

    See you later!
