  1. I just got a new computer with xp home. On my old computer 98se these worked fine, but on the new one it isn't. When I go to backup on shrink it says file will be to large to burn. I looked at the size and it wasn't so I backed it up. When I go to burn on DVD-R Nero says the DVD-R is only 4.4 gb not 4.7. I put the same DVD-R in DVD decrypter and it says 4.7 gb. Anyway it won't let me burn it, it says it is too large. I'm not sure if my problem is with shrink, Nero, both, the computer, or if there is a way to adjust the nero to show the DVD-R as 4.7 gb. Any ideas where I should start.
Also I did have 2 backups ripped on a portable hard drive that I succesfully burned on the Nero on the new computer.

  2. Its more a question of bit and bytes 4.4g 4.7gb nero has always reported file in the wrong way eg 1000 per gb not 1024 just keep your file sizes within limits and youll be ok. keep on trucking.
