  1. Hello,
I've been converting my downloads as a DVD mpg file and then using TMPEGnc Author to burn on a DVD. It's been working great with the following exception:

Whenever I try to convert an AVI file which is usually has the following info XVID [bt-gm] [EFnet] and is a 23.97fps file, it locks up the TMPEGnc program. I've tried converting to DVD, VCD and SVCD, all with the same results. No other file gives me a problem. I'm sure I have all the proper codecs but I always check with G-spot to make sure. It says I have the codecs.

Can anyone tell me why I'm having this problem? Why are these paticular avi d/l always at 23.97fps??

Any help I can get on this is appreciated.

    Thanks,

  2. I've never been able to get TMPGEnc and XviD to play nicely together.
Anytime i use TMPGEnc with XviD source i change the FourCC from XVID to DIVX.

    AVI FourCC code changer:

  3. Another thing you could try is loading the XVID into VirtualDub and frameserving to TPGEnc. May be a little slower but should work. Also would give you the oppurtunity to take advantage of some of VirtualDub's filters if you choose w/o having to do full encode from XVID to soething to MPG in TMPGenc.

  6. I had exactly the same problem. After realising that the audio was AC3, something that TMP cannot understand, I used Goldwave to convert the audio to standard wav.

All I did was load the original file into goldwave and save the audio as stereo.

TMP then accepted the file, hope this helps
