Just a thought on the colour of the links.
I've added some in and it struck me they don't exactly jump out at you.
For instance, there's three in this one and yes, you can see them but unless you know they're there they might be missed.
Hell, anything that helps point new members to the guides a little quicker can't be all bad a suggestion, can it?
It might just be me but wouldn't they be better in a different colour?
I appreciate the site theme is this wine red but for the new members it might be that these extremely useful links are missed, and all my hard work has gone to waste
Just a thought
Hell, maybe it's my eyes, maybe my monitor needs clean!

Maybe different colors for different links? "Auto tool" links in one, "local" links (to guides & cetera) in one, links to external pages a third?

How about bold links?
No extra work on the site, and dead easy for responders to do...
P.S. Nice touch with the "jpeg artifacts" - makes it look like the letters are on fire. Stands out just fine... What's the BBCode for that? [onfire]text[/onfire]?There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Playing Devil's Advocate, there's always the argument that there's only so much hand-holding you can do, and that the links are in a different colour, and they should take the time to read carefully rather than expecting to have their ar5e5 wiped for them...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Getting back to the topic ......if approved, the one colour link change was easy to implement

To me the real links look better than the picture links. The picture links are lighter and the real links are darker.
