Using MS Movie maker, trying to transfer a few minutes of dv to a cd. Experimenting, trying to figure out how to work everything.
When it says it's encoding, it takes forever for a few minutes of video.
I can't imagine how long it would take for a hour or two of video.
Is this normal??
Any tricks to speed it up?

It is odd that it would take "Foreeever" to encode a few minutes though. Im sure finding someone here whos familiar with MS's video converting software would be harder then finding the goose that lays golden eggs. :P
How good is your computer, what are the specs? -
Everytime I try to download that tmpgenc program it says file not found. I'll try virtualdub.
My computer has a 1200 Athlon chip, 512 megs ddr memory and a 74 gig hard drive.
