  1. Hi all,

I have an irreplaceable MPeg2 file which I recorded off satellite, but unfortunately the input volume was too high!!!
It now distorts a bit, especially when music is playing.
Is there any way to clean up the soundtrack or reduce the volume within the MPeg file???
Even with the TV volume down low it still distorts a bit.

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards

    Dave

  2. You can use any program like Audacity or Cool Edit to reduce the volume. I think Cool Edit has a clip repair function which should help get some of the distortion out.

    Best of luck,
