I have been trying to play a number of movies I have converted to svcd format. The conversion is fine (it plays fine on the PC with power dvd) and all but the first minute or two of the movie plays without any issues. The only problem is the fact that for a very small amount of the movie (the start of the cd - usually less than 2 minutes) the dvd player just skips it.

I have tried different media (mitsubishi 700MB 'golden pc disc' and also opti-ups corp 780MB) and I'm using Discjuggler to burn the images with a cyberdrv cw038d cd burner.

Any suggestions appreciated.
