    is there any other tool, except virtualdubmod, which makes the direct avi->ac3 demuxing with 6-channel audio keeping?

    i thought virtualdub can save only wavs

    Use audio->direct stream copy
    File->save as wav.

    The audio file will actually be the ac3 from the avi but with a wav header and wav extension. Change the extension manually, fix the header with ac3fix.exe.
