  1. using mtr 2.0, dvdx2one, and toast 6.03, can you combine on to one blank dvd-r, all of the extras only from 2 different dvd's? both combined are about 4mg. i'd rather not waste 2 blanks on 2mg each.
    thanks.

  2. Yes!

The key to this is DVD2OneX. In JOIN mode you may select any combination of titles from any combination of ripped DVD VIDEO_TS folders. You can also choose specific chapters from within those titles.

You would first rip the disks to your hard drive using MTR or DVDBackup or OSeX. The newer version of Apple's DVD Player (10.3? I forget when it came) can help you determine which title numbers you want to look for in your VIDEO_TS folder, or it may just take some trial-and-error on certain discs to determine where the extras are.

Then assemble the titles in the desired sequence under the JOIN setting of DVD2OneX. I have had excellent results with the Advance Navigation mode or whatever it's called, that adds the ability to skip between titles on your newly built disk with the right arrow key on your DVD player remote.

Hope this makes sense. DVD2OneX is a fabulously powerful tool. Well worth the $50. Well worth.

keep in mind that join is for movie only copies.

  4. Right. No menus. I was thinking of extras that are movies in themselves, like a "making of" or deleted scenes. Haven't tried this with extras like a filmography that's essentially a menu.

    Good clarification.
