I would like feedback from those of you who have used some or all of these (if you have only used one, please try to refrain from posts that yours is the best one.)

I have been using DVD2One for a long time, and I love the speed (<20 mins no matter what) but am wondering if there is anything that might provide better video quality, even at the expense of speed. (I don't mind running overnight)

However, I used to do it the old fashioned way (Smartripper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc) for my first few years, but when I began to use DVD2One I was thrilled that not only was it faster (insanely) but the quality was far better than what I was used to from TMPGEnc. (in other words, I don't want to go back to that way

    thanks,

    Andy

I've used all except IC,plus I've used CloneDVD. Just my opion but I think DVD2ONE produces consistantly better video quality. CloneDVD is as fast as DVD2ONE and provides the ability to delete any unwanted part of the DVD.
Just want to get rid of the FBI warning,it can do it.
Video quality is very subjective, Your paticular setup is unique, your DVD player, viewing screen greatly effect "quality". I doubt there is any single answer to this often asked question.

I have perfered dvd2one until I tried neros recode 2. I found the quality better then dvd2one using the advanced analysis option checked. It takes just as long to encode as dvd2one after it analyzes it. It takes about 20 min to analize and 15-20min to encode. You can also choose which title you want to shrink more (like dvd shrink, since I think they partnered up).

  5. DVD Xpress Rescue works great for me. The Video quality is as good at the original, no pixcel issues. I know Xpress does not seem to be a big favorite in this forum but I have very little complaints in it's use and I've burned over 60 DVDs so far.

  6. If I am doing the movie only I like DVD2one. If I do the full disk I like to use DVDShrink because I can select where I want the best quality. I can raise the compression rate on the extras without losing them entirely.

  7. I bought DVD2One several months before DVDShrink came out, but since it was free, I thought that it would be worth the time checking it out. Well, it's sitting on my computer, and I haven't used it in months. DVD2One is faster, and although the interface sucks, the output is great. Yes, DVDShrink has some super basic authoring features, but for any kind of authoring, I prefer a real authoring prog like TMPGEnc DVD Author. If I hadn't already bought DVD2One, and didn't need to do anything more than the most basic authoring, I'd probably use DVDShrink and I never would have bought DVD2One. However, since I have the option, I'll stick with DVD2One, and leave the authoring to a real authoring prog.

I believe it comes down to what works for you the individual ,I always liked IC but when clonedvd came along ,I now use clone dvd for large files because of the features and flexibility it has.I tried dvdshrink but I didnt like it I also have dvdxcopyexpress but i prefer using the clone dvd and dvd decryptor for all my stuff hence thats what works for me...

  9. dvd2one.. good program very fast but the output is not so good.. video looks a little darker than the original.. just like dvd shrink 2.3.. Dvd shrink 3.1.4 (nero recode is a clone, someone says the encoder is faster and better.. I didn't notice that) with deep analysis is better. Clone Dvd is the best to make copies with menus without extras. IC8 provide the best quality for full movies. Dvd2dvdr and easydvdr are the best for movie only (outstanding quality).
