You don't have to frameserve over LAN, just encode directly from the source file over LAN. That is, have your raw footage AVI file or what ever on one computer. Then have your encoding software on the other. Simply direct your encoding input file in your encoding program to the source file on the other computer over LAN, then encode. Me and my flatmate encode to DivX over LAN all the time, with my computer in my room with the capture card, and his one in his room with Virtual Dub and DivX. Works fine. I still think frameserving should work, though, anyway.

  4. I'm using a DPS Perception PVR hardware. This one is generating a fake avi file. The AVI is only sound + a cue pointing to the video file on the video harddisk. I need a Perception PVR Codec to play the AVI file. If I'd like to encode the avi over LAN , I must have the same codec on other PC-s as well which I don't have. It's not possible to install the PVR software and the codec without the hardware. So, I'd like to use avisynt frameserving to make a avs or avi file and encode over the LAN. I have tryed , it won't work. I don't know why. Has anyone a solution?
