  1. I just converted 'finding nemo' on dvd to vcd. The first time i ripped it to my harddrive with dvd decrypter but realized some of the extras were embedded with the movie, so i had to something.
I used dvd shrink and clicked on reauthour and selected my dvd rom with the movie inside and i in the 'movie' category there were 2 files, and there was one with the embedded extras and the other one was like the one i ripped with dvd decrypter.

Somehow it seemed that dvd shrink ripped faster then dvd decrypter or is this my imagination or what? I know the file was bigger in dvd decrypter but still....... can someone help?

  2. What do you need help with.. doesn't seem like you had a problem. Just a question as to why dvdshink processed it faster than DVDdecrypter.
plus you answered your own question when you said "I know the file was bigger in dvd decrypter but still....... "

since you did a reauthor in dvdshirnk and did not process the whole dvd. Shrink only ripped the files that it needed and not all of the files like Decrpter did. Ripping less MB equals faster ripping times.

The new version of dvdshrink 3.1.4 has a new ripping engine also that is just as fast as dvddecrypter on some PC's (depending on CPU, memory etc.).
