Hiya Everyone,
not posted in ages, must have been at least 12 months. Anyway away from that, ive purchased TNG seasons 1 - 7 and am very proud to own them as i love star trek, but i want to keep them as a collection and use backups for watching purposes instead! I am finding this process very difficult compared with things like Red Dwarf series etc. Can anyone Help me as i really want to do this even though im looking at around 50 - 100 blank DVDs.
Thanks to anyone that can help
John

Welcome back, johnehlas.
I'd suggest you give DVD Shrink v3.1.3 a try.
You'll be able to either make full-disk backups, including the menus, or make compilations of episodes using its "Re-author" mode (no menus).
If you decide to make compilations the number of episodes per disc will be entirely up to you (depending on the amount of compression you're willing to apply: from a fair amount to none).
DVD Shrink did not exist 12 months ago, so I'd suggest you view some of the guides at DVDShrink.info to get familiar with it.
Oh, I forgot to mention DVD Shrink is free and rips protected DVDs (no need for an external ripper), and has now the option to burn if you have Nero installed. -
Glad to be of help, johnehlas.
By the way, I've just added a new "Compilation" guide to DVDShrink.info.
