  1. Hi all,

Ive been reading around on how to burn the main movie and the menu's but not the extras. Ive read a couple ways of going about this:

    1. CloneDVD method (when burned, disc is messed up)
    2. The method of IFOedit (doesn't Work for me)
    3. Method involving DVD Shrink and opening the (wont open the VTS_XXX.XX file. It says its not valid and has to open the Video_Ts.IFO file.

    Please HELP!
    Thanks in advance

  2. I personally use IfoEdit, but if you feel that it's not user friendly, you can try DVD stripper.

    Noki,

I've been using your suggested menu for everything as I like the menu's. My only problem is like spatel783 stated:

"3. Method involving DVD Shrink and opening the (wont open the VTS_XXX.XX file. It says its not valid and has to open the Video_Ts.IFO file."

The new version of DVDshrink will not allow you to pick the main movie .IFO It auto picks the Main DVD .IFO. I still use 3.05 since it will still allow. Is there something I am missing or has the oportunity been removed in the later version?

Hi. I do not mean to interup, but I was trying to figure this out myself. I just received my Sony DRU510 and started to back up some of my favorite dvd's. I love DVDSHRINK. I used the latest one 3.1. My wife bought me as a gift "Once Upon a Time in Mexico". I quickly went to back it up using DVDSHRINK 3.1. But when I try to re-author, and choose all the menu titles and the movie only, it doesnt work. When I burned it, it plays well but it goes thru the menu, and the selection of titles stright thru. I can't choose a selection or even play the movie. Once i fast foward, then the movie starts. What did i do wrong? I just grabbed all in order? Can somene help a newbie.

Thank you all also. This website helped me out alot.

You can't use menus in re-author mode, use DVDFab instead.
