Does the TBC in the JVC 7000-9000 Series VCRs fix the Macrovision alternating light/dark problems (i.e., the AGC problems that are not fixed by the MV driver hacks) when trying to capture Macrovision protected VHS tapes with an ATI AIW card?
Or would I still need another TBC to solve the problem?
EDIT: Guess I'll find out myself. Just bought the OEM 7500 AIW (AGP version) for $80 at Fry's. No remote, but I would never use it anyway. Not a bad price, and I get 30 days to decide if I like it or not![]()

Just so folks know, it doesn't fix the problem. Still have alternating light/dark scenes every 15 seconds or so. *sigh*

The JVC 9600-9911 ones do, with the TBC turned on, at least.
