  1. I have an MP4 video file that opens with Quicktime. I can either export it to AVI -or- open in TmpgEnc and convert to SVCD. For one, I don't care for the TmpgEnc result because CCE is better in my opinion. And, I don't want to save it as a AVI in QT and because it only lets you use cinepak, DV, Indeo encoders. Bottom line, does anyone know of any good site with information about converting FROM this format -or- any tools out there that can deal with it? I would really love to figure out a way to import it into CCE. Thanks for your trouble.

load it into tmpgenc and go file -> save as -> uncompressed avi

load avi into cce - though you could get about the same quality from tmpgenc anyway...

you could also frame serve (or convert it) it from tmpgenc or avsyth or virtualdub

  3. Hey thanks for the reply. I had forgotten about exporting to AVI from TMPGENC. It does take as long to do that as it does to just convert in Tmpgenc. I would like to frameserve but am not sure how to do this with VDUB or TmpgEnc for using with CCE. I cannot open MP4 files in VDUB. Thanks.
