  1. when i point to a video file the properties of it will be displayed. but if it is a mp4 file it is not showing. earlier i used to get the info. what should i do to get the properties such as the video codec and video bitrate informations? thanks.

    You open the file with MediaInfo or Gspot. If it doesn't work, the file may be corrupt.

  3. It probably means some other program has taken over the shell integration for the MP4 file type. Quicktime mabye? Switching off the Explorer Tooltip option in MediaInfo, then switching it back on might help. Or uninstalling and reinstalling MediaInfo.

  4. i do get the info when i open the file with mediainfo. the qtn is when i point with the mouse over it is not showing the properties as it shows with av1 or mpeg files. i used to get it earlier.

    As Jagabo says, perhaps you installed a program that took over the mp4 file type. In mediainfo check options/preferences,
    shell info tip.
