  1. What programs do i need to download to convert SVCD (MPEG 2 ) to MPEG1 VCD ? My uncle from overseas brought me a set of anime cartoon but my VCD player do not support SVCD and I always argue with my brother over the computer to watch the cartoon. So please help! Thank you

  3. Can you play dvd's ? if so it may be worth going this way as you are going to lose a load of quality going down to vcd.

  4. I downloaded Tmpgenc but it keeps appeared " can't be opened" & " unsupported mpeg". And Tmpgenc even appeared
    "Tmpgenc MPEG 2 is expired. " What does this mean?

    And no, i do not have dvd player as it is too expensive.

  5. Your version of TMPGEnc has expired. You need version 12a, about 5th down on the list here: http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/tmpgenc.html
    Uninstall the version you have, restart, then install 12a.
    Run it, select Load, select the VCD template.
    Open your SVCD's mpg file, tweak your settings, and let it go.
    Finished product is a VCD, ready to burn.

    there are to expensive? you can get a one for about 40 bucks now days.
