Ok, well my first problem is when i use dvdshrink i get an error (only sometimes on some movies) "Copy Protection Error, Operation Cannot Be Performed Because of an I/O Device Error" What can I do to fix this?
And my second question is... after dvdshrink is done backing up the video to my harddrive, and it pops open and asks for a blank DVD RW disk to be put in (should I just get DVD R?) and then it burns it to that using Nero and after it is done it WILL NOT read on my dvd players nor my computer. Does my DVD player have to be able to read the DVD RWs?
Any pointers will be greatly appreciative...

Your first problem would probably be solved by ripping to the hard drive with DVD Decrypter and then using DVD Shrink. Can't help with the second problem as I use Record Now Max for dvd's.

Check what dvd media are supported by your dvd player (in response to your second question). If your DVD burner burned it, the burner should be able to read it... not sure about that one.

Adding to steveryan, use File mode(all) in DVDDecrypter to rip or play the DVD for 30 seconds with PowerDVD,etc. before ripping to unlock your drive.
