I'm trying to put some of my home videos from a Sony 8mm camcorder on DVD. I used VirtualDub to capture at 720 x 480, encoded with TmpgEnc, Authored with TmpgEnc DVD Author and burned with Nero. The AVI, Mpeg, and DVD all play fine on the PC but the picture jumps up and down on my Pioneer DV-250 DVD player. I've tried changing from bottom field first to top field first in TmpgEng with no change. I'm sure someone here has done this successfully and can help me. I realize the problem could also be in encoding or authoring but it starts as a capture, right.
