While browsing around ebay I found THIS. Seems to have good feedback on ebay although the store www.Aink.com isn't listed on www.resellerratings.com I was wondering if any of you have tried this ink and how you liked it. It says the company is G&G, I've never heard of them. I'll probably go ahead and try some, because its almost half price. If any of you have experience with these, please post info. Also if you're reading this VillageIdiot, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

    peace.

  2. other's may have other opinions, but I have found, especially with epsons, it really does pay to use OEM inks. I have an epson 825 photo, and my buddy has the 925. I use only Epson OEM inks and he uses some brand i've never heard of. My blacks are blacker, my colors are over all just more lively (he swears i'm dillusional), and I almost never have head clogging, where he probably wastes at least 25% of his cartridge trying to clean his heads continously.

I say honestly it's not worth it, but to each his own.

    Rule number 1:

    Beware incompatible inks!!!!!
if only I could make it flash

They can lead to permanent head clog! Many of the cheapest inks will fall into this category. Test the inks to make sure they do not form a sludge when they are mixed or completely flush the heads clean of the old ink! The only inks I trust are from www.mediastreet.com , I use their pigment inks, and if they can get that right then the dye ink can't be wrong either. Also inks from MS associates (MIS inks) look for those at www.inkjetart.com and www.inkjetmall.com

Rule number 2: It can be very dangerous to buy ink from Ebay!

Never buy from someone that does not know their own products, and what they are used in! See rule #2 above.

Not to say that you can't use a pigment ink with this printer, but there are differences that you must account for! Color gamut will not be the same, you will need to apply color correction. Color correction can be VERY involved and expensive. But it can also be worth all the trouble, depends on what you are looking for.

Thnx for the replies TVI, I think I'll pass on them for now. Maybe if others try them with good results I'll reconsider.
