guys some advice please with Tmpgenc
I have made a video with xp`s movie maker , it has its short falls as we all no but they can be worked around without much heartache
but i`m struggling now to convert to Mpg with Tmpgenc , before ya send me off to read the stuff here and on lord smurfs site let me say i have done all that
setting Tmpgenc up for Pal dvd interlace 4:3 is fine no worries , but my output file keeps skipping frames and parts of the avi i created
i did it once with no errors using the wizard and had no probs BUT i converted it to 16:9 accidentally and didnt realise untill it had finished
my avi consists of txt at the start on a black background scrolling up then after that its mostly video Hi8 footage with fades as transitions there are some still pictures tacken from video footage intermixed also
the outputed file jumps some scenes after the scrolling txt on black bkground at the start and also the overlayed music jumps on the scroll txt as well
the original created avi is perfect and plays without problems , it must be something i`m not doing in Tmpgenc
i`m no expert in the Gop structure or Quantize settings but i`m willing to bet that its there where the solution lies
any advice please guys
