    i noticed on my ati multimedia 8.5 when i change the settings for recording there is a combo filter #1 and combo filter #2 for the video soap filters..what's the difference between combo filter #1 and combo filter #2 and there is a color bar below the filter settings?

    The colorbar indicates the extra CPU usage needed to perform the filtering. I haven't seen much difference between Combo1 and Combo2, except that Combo2 is much slower - I suspect some filters may be performed with hardware acceleration, but not the Combo filter 2.
