PS2 DVD-R question

I apologize in advance if this is not the right place to post this but here goes.

I have a modded playstation 2 that allows me to play backups of DVD-R. I have to exchange the boot discs with a PS2 original with a Table of Contents bigger than the game i want to load. In my case i used XenoSaga (3.96g) to boot up Tigerwoods 2k5 (3.32) this should work but it doesnt.

When i try to load the backup with the original Tigerwoods it will work.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
