  1. when i try to burn svcd, i usually try vcdeasy to build first my bin/cue, then i burn with nero. recently, i have read the article about difference of 80/min from 700 mb. i then realized that you can burn more minutes into one cd when using nero. so i tried this once, but when i played it in the player, the movie slows down after a couple of seconds and goes back to normal speed again. it happens throughout the movie so i tried lowering the burn speed to 16x. it still happens, the length of the slowering just becomes shorter. is there any way to fix this?

  2. There are several causes for that problem, but I wouldn't use NERO ever again because it has too many bugs. Besides, if you wanna burn an mpg file use VCDEASY, if you wanna burn a Bin file ALWAYS use either CDRWIN or Alcohol120%. That's my opinion. Stay away from NERO6.

Also, what you can try is after making a bin file, extract the video from it for testing and then play the mpg file in a media player to check it also. If it is alright then your resulting burned CD should also be providing your not overburning too much. The highest I can go for putting a movie on a CD-R 80min is 835MB then it hits an error. But, even so I can still play the movie up to the end. The problem is that if you go over the limit the file may not play properly any way.

You cannot get more into one cd using nero instead of VCDEasy. An 80 min CD can hold 800 MB using either program. If the VCDEasy+Nero method worked before then you should probably stick with that.

Overburning (beyond 800 MB) is risky territory, your CD's, burner and player all need to support it.

If VCDEasy does not support your burner then you can use it to make cue/bin image files and then use nero to burn them. Before you select "Go' in VCDEasy make sure you unselect "burn".
