  1. Who uses it? I hated Nero 7 with a passion and stuck with Nero 6. However since I've started some DV to DVD projects and I'm lazy I wanted the most up to date version of Neros encoder etc so I'm giving 8 a try.

My primary question is how people around here are receiving it, it seems to have been passed over by most of the video/burning community. Any major complaints aside from size and the fact that its a new version of some overpriced/complicated software?

I'm still using Nero 6.6.6.13 and the only part of Nero I use is Nero Burning ROM. Lately I have been using ImgBurn more than Nero. If Nero 5.5 still worked with my burners, I would use that instead. Not interested in Nero 8.

It took months for Nero to work out the bugs in v7. I wouldn't expect v8 to be any different. It may work for you or it may not, just don't expect it to be painless. And keep in mind that Nero is a burning application trying to be an all-in-one tool, which quite often doesn't do anything else very well.

For video work, get a video tool.
