  1. I have got many AVI divx files that i want to convert to mpeg2 so i can burn them to dvd. i am encounting a problem though. i have used many different conversion tools includiong tmpenc but every time i convert i get the picture but no sound. could anyone help me please

    Stick with TMPGenc, but try this.

    1. Convert the AVI audio to wav using Virtualdub by going to the Audio menu and selecting "Full Processign Mode". Then go to File and select "Save WAV".

    2. Using the DVD specs in TMPGenc, make sure you select the wav file as your audio source.

    3. Make sure the setting in the lower right corner of the screen look like this:

  3. I am by no means an expert at this, however I have converted over a hundred divx and xvid files to svcd. First make sure that you have the proper video and audio codecs installed. Then follow the conversion method written by LeeBear which can be found on this site. Unless the file has a corrupt header or is an improper framerate, it seems to work well every time.
