Hi All,
I would really appreciate if someone can tell a factory default
P-code for DVD951 made for US market.
Player's current settings: P-code is 33, and firmware version is 8.11.
As a result some controls on front panel, buttons on remote
control, bit rate UV meter, and S-video out do not work.
To find it out:
1. press 'system menu' on remote control;
2. press down button on remote until you reach 'left pointed hand' menu;
3. select 'left pointed hand' menu;
4. press down button on remote until you reach very last item;
5. press down button again and you will be able to see firmware version information (PHILIPS '98-'00 8.11 4234232 P33 4.13.30);
I need number after 'P' (p-code) that defines player's hardware configuration, or just tell me the whole line.
Thanks a lot.

atbb,
Just browsing these forums and came across your request. I can certainly tell you what my US market DVD951 tells me.
8.10 010622 P91 4.3.13
I noticed you have firmware 8.11, is that something you upgraded yourself or did yours come that way? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to see if a firmware upgrade will enable DVD-R playback. I can play DVD+R and DVD+RW fine but I'm trying to get DVD-R to work as well. Your reply is much appreciated.
