  1. With each new model, do these burners improve in making a dvd-r more player compatible?
    Reading the stats on the a07, they seem to be tooting this.

    The A06 is pretty darn good with both -R and +R, somewhat better than A05 and even more so than A04. The A07 is probably marginally better in respect to compatibility, but mostly just faster. Stuff from my A06 plays in every device I own.

I have a 104 and 105 and the stuff I created on my 104 (with good media) is no better or worse compatability wise (since the 104's output on good media plays on just about every player I have tried). The 105 gave me faster speed but nothing better in "Quality" or "Stability" or "Compatibility"

    The reason to get the newest Pioneer is either because of lack of availability of the older drives and the speed/feature enhancement. If you are only burning quality 2x
    -R media, you may never notice any difference.
