  1. I'm trying to burn to DVD-R on 2 burners--A05 and 106.. Nero gives me errors on both burners after it's 99% burned. The errors say:

    "Invalid block address" and then:

"Could not perform end of Disc-at-once"

Can anyone advise as to a solution, please?? Thanks.

what brand disc are yu using

  3. I realize it may have been the discs but I don't that's the problem b/c I took out several other brand media and did test burns that resulted in the same errors.. So far I've used Matrix 4x, HQ 4x and Ritek 2x G03's and all failed.. ??

Here's what I did that I think led to the problem.. Nero is allegedly supposed to be able to burn to multiple burners at same time (yes, I checked off the 'Multiple burners' option). But it would NOT let me select/highlite more that one burner at a time.. So while one burn was in process, I opened up a separate Nero window and began to burn to the other burner.. From that point on, I cannot burn..period.

I even un-installed, then re-installed Nero and updated.. ?? Very frustrating.. Please advise as to possible solutions.. Thanks.

You likely corrupted the ASPI on the system (or other burning files). Nero uninstall would NOT fix that. Find ASPI4ALL on google, install that, the reinstall Nero.

If you're using windows XP, try system restore to go back before you had the problem.

  6. Thanks, lordsmurf and BobK.. Will try both.. And yes, I on running XP Pro.. Respects 'System Restore', how do you do that? And, if I've already shut-down/re-booted, can I still do a 'System Restore'?? Thank you.

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Then select a restore point prior to when the problem started.

You'll have to reinstall anything that was installed after that time too.

I have not used this in a long time, but I think you might have to use the CTRL key to select your multiple recorders in Nero.

Even better, just uninstall Nero completely, then use ImgTool to create iso then burn with DVD Decrypter.

Both are free ("and i'll probably get flamed for saying this by all the Nero lovers ") and they work.

  10. OK.. I've tried everything you guys have suggested and still continue to get 'burn fail' errors with Nero.. ?????

I never had errors when running Nero on Win2000. It's only when I upgraded to WinXP Pro.. I do not want to have to do a fresh re-install of WinXP.. Please advise..

Also, what other burning programs are there that can burn IFO, BUP and VOB files created by authoring apps?? I had a trial of RecordNow Max and for the life of me, could NOT figure out how to burn those files.. ???

Do you have the Retail or OEM Version of Nero?
Also have you disabled WimXP's Burning Capabilities?

When it works you shouldn't have Two instances of nero running.

I have retail version of Nero.. and yes, the problems did start when I tried burning to multiple burners via opening 2 separate sessions of Nero..

If I did 'disable' Burning Capabilities of WinXP Pro, how do I re-enable it?? Thank you.

There is a Recording Tab on the properties for your burners with a checkbox to enable Windows Burning.

I have seen this interact the same as other Drag and Drop type software.

Since you ran 2 instances it might take some cleaning and reinstalling of Nero to get it fully back.

    Hope you get it fixed.

Select Data and import your VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS(empty) folders then burn TAO,closed,UDF with Joliet.

BTW..I agree with marvel2020...Nero sucks for burning DVD's,I get the best results with RN or DVDDecrypter.

  16. I use nero 5.5.10+ for dvds & get 100% success.

If youre using nero 6 it needs a ton of patches.

  17. This may help.

    StartMenu->Run->MSCONFIG

Then in the startup tab, uncheck all other burning software crap.

I had a bunch of easy CD/DVD creator stuff in there, running on startup.
I would get strange errors in Nero, so I removed the Roxio startup crap, rebooted, and then Nero worked fine.
