When I insert my recordings of some golf channel shows from my panasonic e50 to my computer to watch them, there is a thick black bar that is about 1 cm when viewed as fullscreen to the left of the recording. The show doesn't look distorted as I recall but I am not positive about this. Also, when I play a program from another channel on my computer it does NOT have the black bar, its just the golf channel. The recording doesn't show up when played in a regular dvd player however.
Is there any way to remove this black bar without screwing up the program?

Don't worry about it. You are not going to see it on TV.
Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home)
