Free version of SVCD2DVDMPG

Does the free version of svcd2dvdmpg contain IROffer spyware?

A friend of mine downloaded it, installed it and when he ran PestPatrol it came up with this spyware. Pestpatrol reported that it came from svcd2dvdmpg. Trying to clear this up for him.

Not that we know off.

But there not so legal version of the tool going around so maybe he got a version which was altered.

Or maybe the program this it has spyware cause some parts of svcddvdmpg preform the same actions as the spyware does. I think those spyware tools check behavoir so if you act the same you might be spyware.

Thanks for the replys. Although his screen capture of PestPatrol clearly shows that this was the culprit, I don't know what to say. Chrissyboy I can send you the pic if you would like it.

I was just curious and will let him know there is no spyware....

I use SVCD2DVD and have no troubles with it.
