  1. I am using TMPGEnc to chew up and spit out videos as per my preference for vj'ing. So far, I know how use TMPGEnc to convert to another file type, to edit the beginning and end of the video and to throw up the black bars on the video for that letterbox effect. I need to normalize the videos sound and before I start doing them, what is a good setting for that? I want a consistent setting to use so when i'm getting TMPGEnc to ready it for me, all my videos will be at the same audio level...thanx!

PS: Any tips or trix you could make me aware of in TMPGEnc for better effects in these videos would be GREATLY appreciated.

  2. Just click settings and goto the audio tab and click SETTING...then click Normalize...it will show 75...click ok and it will be set to better normalize the present volume and will work for all the videos. Of course....in practice it will not work as a compressor so if your volume is dramatically different from one video to the next then there will still be inconsistencies. There are different ways and programs to achieve what you are trying to get but I hate the way audio levels jump up and down like commercials, so, When I extract the audio for converting, I compress the audio. It works great for me......very enjoyable on the tele.
