I have a picky slvd300p sony dvd player. Memorex and tdk dvd-r disks don't work very good, they skip. I have some BeAll that work good most of the time. I bought some dvd-wr by Imatation mainly for data and they seem to burn the best for my player. I thought that dvd-wr was less compatible on stand alone players. These disks are too expensive for everyday use. Wonder if I should try Imitation dvd-rs. What are your thoughts?![]()

Imation doesn't make their own discs. They are made by various other manufacturers, and they aren't always the same brand. First you should try and find out who really made the -RW discs you are using (use DVD Indentifer, etc. to read the info on the disc).
