I'm running Win XP and have a Sony C-RWCRX210E1 burner that came installed with my system. I'm running a P4 2.7g processor with 1 gb ram and 2 120 gb HD's. The burner worked fine at first but now it won't burn anything. I took it to the IT guy at work, who checked everything out and got it to work fine once he installed Roxio software. Take note that I uninstalled the Pinnacle Studio 7 & Express software before he looked at it. Like an idiot, the first thing I did was reinstall Pinnacle when I got it home. Needless to say, it won't burn anything again. I uninstalled Pinnacle Studio & express, Nero and Roxio software then uninstalled the Sony drive itself. I re-started then reinstalled the drive and only the latest Nero 6 software. Still no luck. It took me this long to figure out that it must be the Pinnacle software causing my problems. It locked my whole system up a few months back while trying to burn a VCD. My only recourse then was to reformat which I'm hoping I don't have to do again. I didn't save that setup after he had it working so I can't go back to that time stamp. Any suggestions on how to force Pinnacle and Nero to play nice or at least get the burner working without reformatting? Any help is greatly appreciated.
