  1. Any comments from people with Dazzle 150 units who had been using dvxcel test utility and are now using pinnacle software with it? Ease of use, control, quality of capture, etc.?
I have finally gotten somewhat proficient in using the test utility and ulead software for manipulation, but have been thinking of giving pinnacle a shot since it is now an all-in-one solution.
    thanks

  2. I upgraded a month ago and couldn't be happier. The software and drivers that came with that device were really bad. So far, I have had no problems with the pinnacle software 8.10. I believe it also installs new drivers. You will not be able to use the test utility anymore with the new drivers. Its even easier to use then the software provided. Upgrade, you won't be sorry. I was going to sell mine but now I am happy with it. Except, I wish they madea PVR that would work with it.

  3. Hi there,

I bought the studio8 gold on 27.12., I am not so happy with it.

    1. Capturing
No advantages/disadvantages compared to dvxcel, it seems (i am not sure) that Studio always captures at CBR, you cannot set a min/max like in dvxcel.

    2. rerendering
I did not manage to produce a DVD/MPEG file without Studio rerendering the file. With tmpeg dvdauthor the captured files can be authored without rerendering. Yes I checked the parameters in studio, they are equal.

    3. Studio 9
14 Days after buying studio 8 I should now upgrade for 69,- EUR (I paid 99,-). Not a fair deal I think.

You may want to visit the pinnacle support forums. I REALLY suggest you look out there for comments.
    greetings
    tom

  4. Thanks for the comments.
I think I'll wait a little while and see how people are responding to studio9.
I couldn't find the forums at pinnacle when I checked several weeks ago. I didn't look very thoroughly. I'll look again.
