I am currently a subscriber to cable modem through adelphia, and that service is fantastic. I don't pay for the cable tv, but apparently they just send it anyways along with the signal, it must cost more for them to disable it than to just keep sending it. But the quality sucks, on cartoons, especially futurama, there are little black lines leading in from the outlines into the shading colors on screen and in my captures.
Who the hell do I complain to?

Could be a signal issue, either try a booster OR put a splitter ont he line before it hooks to your tv. Even though you don't want to split it if the signal is to weak or strong it can sometimes cause picture issues. If that doesn't do it then just call the cable company and complain. Of course its hard to complain about something your getting for free.

A friend of mine had the same problem. He uses a splitter for the connection and enjoys free cable.
