My ATI AIW Radeon7500 TV is not working correctly. For several seconds the picture will be fine, but then after that the screen turns mostly white and looks as if the gamma is turned up way too high. Then it will go back to normal after a minute and keep doing this. I udated to the latest display driver and the latest MMC and it still does it. I am thinking it is a hardware problem, the video card.

It means you're copying a tape that has copy protection on it. Try some MV hacks, try a TBC, try a homemade tape.

THen either bad driver install ... or it's still Macrovision... as MV happens at all times, recording or not.

It is not MV. I am talking about watching TV on my computer using my AIW Radeon 7500. No tapes, no copy protection, just plain old TV.

  8. Do you have it hooked to cable or an antenna?

If it is an unboosted antenna you could just be suffering from poor reception. With my TV Wonder VE I get some channels that go in and out based on the reception of the antenna (I really should get a signal amplifier.. Or cable.)

There is also the possibility that the Macrovision detection
was designed by people that aren't very competent and
it can be falsely triggered. Lack of technical comptency is
a common problem with people that can be easily bribed
    and have no integrity.

No kidding! My new APEX DRX-9000 thinks the blue screen output by my JVC HRS9800 is copy protected!

I am not recording anything. Do you mean to tell me that there is MV in the tv broadcast?

No, your hardware/software is defective , because the engineers were
offered a chance to get fired or suck up to Macrovision, and they
    didn't get fired.

Come to think of it now, I never had any problems with the tv until my motherboard died and I had to get a new board so now when I am watching the tv it fades to mostly white and then back to normal and back and forth. You think the card is defective.
