Can you burn a vcd onto a dvd-r and count it as a dvd or is it still a vcd. Can you burn a dvd with a CD-RW burner?

1)if you can get a vcd burned to a dvd, it will still be a vcd due to it's different file structure. If the vcd is converted to dvd & then burned, you
have a dvd
2) generally no, but do a search for something called a cDVD -
Firstly you cannot burn onto a dvd disc with a CD-RW but that does not mean that you can't burn to CD-R using the DVD File structure. Whether or not players play it is another matter and you would only get about 15-20 mins of video anyway.
If in doubt, Google it.
