Hi I am new to DVD capture and appreciate any help here.
Trying to capture video from Sony TRV17 DV Camcorder on to a 2.6G celeron 512MB RAM 845G Intel card on xp.
The playback video after capture looses its quality sort of becomes dull when viewed in full screen. It's fine when viewed in 350x240 etc.
Same behavior whether it is AVI or MPEG. Tried in Ulead (AVI), Windows Movie Maker (AVI) and MySonic (MPEG). Tried adjusting monitor resolutions etc but did not help. In all the cases playback is poor in full screen. When I burn DVD out of it, it seems to get the full screen quality.
Any pointers appreciated.

Thats simply because the PC software is resizing the video. As the monitor is not an exact multiple of the source resolution, some interpretation/estimation has to take place. This will always reduce the quality. If its fine windowed and on DVD, don't worry about it.
