  1. I've rarely seen any RM (real media?) formats lately but I need to find out if I can convert it to MPEG...or at least avi or divx format...

    any ideas? what would be the best way to go about doing it?

    Actually, I really won't need to convert it anymore to any of those formats if I can find an RM player w/c would be able to capture rm pics or frames into a jpg or gif format...

    you can simply make a snapshot of the player. It doesn't work
    if you use hardware acceleration (overlay), but in preference
    of the realmedia player, you can disable it.
