    I am trying to write a programme to manipulate MPEG Transport Streams obtained via DVB-S. I have had some success pulling out PIDs from sample streams I have obtained, but have not been able to re-assemble a valid TS that all programmes will recognise. MPEG Video Wizard will import from the streams I have created, confirming I am at least getting the correct audio/video streams in to the file.

    My intent is to manipulate the programme tables to combine data from multiple transponders in to a single data stream, so what I am really looking for is a detailed specification of the format. Does anyone know where I might find the details online that would allow me to read and create TS files?

    This task needs to be done in real time with two or more DVB cards, so existing software solutions do not appear to do what I would like.

    Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

    I don't think this is freely available...

    ProjectX is able to assemble a TS stream. Maybe you can find some more info there (open source java)

    @Hoggle:
    You should have a look into Donald Graft's online library of free ISO documents about video encoding I think you should find the official definitions there:

    I've been offline for a while, sorry for the delay responding to you, but I'm back looking in to this now.

    Thanks for your suggestions.
