    I tried to convert and svcd to dvd, and everything went well i thought, but ffmpegx made a pal dvd, does anyone know how to fix this? thanks in advance, jat

    This is probably as your SVCD was also PAL. First make sure that your player is really unable to play it (most players today can play both PAL and NTSC), as the conversion PAL > NTSC is lossy.
