I have a sort of complex newbie question.
1. I want to record video from a monitor onto DVD+r discs using an RCA DRC8000n or is it DCR8000n. This is unencrypted footage from a monitor used in closed circuit situation. (noncommercial stuff - security cams). SO this will be on DVD+R discs.
I want to edit this on my powerbook g4, but I have a combo drive not the superdrive. I do not know if discs made with the rca unit can be played on the G4. Do I need an external firewire drive? If so, which brand is best and compatible - pioneer or sony external units? Any experience hooking these up?
3. I want to rip from the UNENCRYPTED dvd+r to the mac. I think I can do this with dvdxdv?
Are these reasonable?
I have one concern that I need to get the type of media also compatible with all of the players - the rca unit, the external fire wire, and apple. I need the media brand to be compatible with all...
AM I DREAMING OR CAN THIS WORK
